Safeguarding Statement

I am committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people I work with, whether face-to-face, online, or within school settings.

I hold an enhanced DBS certificate, which is reviewed regularly and available for verification upon request. I adhere to current safeguarding legislation, including Keeping Children Safe in Education and Working Together to Safeguard Children.

I am trained to recognise the signs of abuse and neglect and understand my responsibility to report any concerns to the appropriate designated safeguarding lead or local authority. Confidentiality is maintained at all times, except where a child’s safety may be at risk.

Online sessions and transcription

When working online, I follow safe digital practices, including the use of secure platforms and clear boundaries around communication. During Microsoft Teams sessions, I may use the built-in transcription feature as a reasonable adjustment for my own additional needs. This allows me to remain fully present and engaged with you or your child during our conversation, rather than dividing my attention with note-taking.

Transcripts are stored securely, used solely to support accurate record-keeping, and handled in accordance with data protection requirements. You will be informed when transcription is active, and your consent will be obtained beforehand.
